MSN Admission Requirements: To be considered for admission to the MSN program at UMMC, you must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and an active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse. One year of clinical experience as an RN is required for admission, and two years of NICU experience are required before beginning any clinical course. After completing an application for admission, you need to provide a resume that outlines an overview of your education, work experience, skills, accomplishments, and credentials, official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions showing a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and proof of your current RN license with privilege to practice in Mississippi. Preadmission counseling must be completed after the Graduate Admissions and Progression Committee reviews your application. Additionally, you may be asked to complete an admission interview with program faculty.
