Amanda R. Loescher, BSN, RN

Amanda Loescher is a Bachelor's prepared Registered Nurse from Wisconsin. She has experience in many different fields of nursing and was a travel nurse for seven years. She currently lives in Madison, WI with her three-year-old daughter.

Amanda graduated from Edgewood College with her BSN in 2011. Her passion for learning led her to obtain certifications in specific nursing areas: Oncology- certified to administer chemotherapy, Aesthetics- qualified to inject Botox and fillers, Trauma certified in Emergency Medicine, and most recently as a Certified Perioperative Nurse in the operating room. Amanda is always looking for ways to advance professionally and loves the variety found in the nursing field.

Amanda has experience in many different areas. She started her career in Medical/Surgical nursing. After three years, she found herself in the Emergency Department. It was then she started travel nursing and was given the opportunity to work on a variety of units including Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, and Orthopedics. She spent some per diem time doing work as an IV nurse in a hospital and in a naturopathic clinic. After she gave birth to her daughter, she landed a job in the Operating room and continues to enjoy working full-time in this fast-paced environment.

Amanda has a passion for health and fitness. She is a competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter and has participated in many high-level competitions placing first in her class in all of them. She also enjoys traveling the country, finding beautiful remote locations to go backpacking and loves hiking in the mountains. Her daughter is also finding joy in these activities and Amanda is thoroughly enjoying raising her daughter to be strong and adventurous just like herself.
